Market Center Happenings
Every year during the Cultural Summit at Mega Agent Camp, there is a celebration of what never changes: our culture. Two agents from each region who embody qualities such as compassion, generosity, and a steadfast commitment to living out the higher purpose of business are honored as Cultural Ambassadors. This is a lifetime appointment based on cultural leadership.
Each Market Center submits its nominee for cultural ambassador, and then a selection committee reviews all the nominations and picks two to represent the Southeast Region. An Ambassador is selected based on how they are focused on “Inside Culture” as it relates to how they behave inside the Market Center and the KW Family and how involved they are with “Outside Culture” as it relates to their contributions to the community.

At the heart of Keller Williams’ culture is our shared commitment to community service. The immeasurable generosity of our team enables us to care for our own as well as our neighbors no matter the magnitude of what is needed.
We’ve poured into our communities in a number of ways, initiating service projects like building new homes from the ground up, gathering and distributing food to those who need it, organizing relief efforts when a natural disaster hits, and even spreading joy and raising funds as only KW can when life takes an unexpected turn. These are just a few of the community activities we’ve carried out in support of those who have poured into us.
Dawn’s Coffee Talk
Summer is here in the Southeast Region! Grab a scoop of COFFEE flavored ice cream and pull up an adirondack chair …. we got things to chat about! I know many of you may be experiencing some hard times with your business right now. You are trying to figure out how to navigate the market AND decide if you need to go to law school to learn how to write your contracts. Have no fear! I get it! These are interesting times for sure. However, take a bite of that ice cream and listen to me. It’s just a season. We will get through this! Many of us have gone through the 2008-2009 downturn and recognize that what goes up must come down and what is down will go up. It’s just how the real estate industry works. The real question is how will YOU navigate a market that you have no control over. Well, it starts with a little dose of…..OPTIMISM. That’s right. If 90% of all success is mindset and only 10% is left to skills, then we need to start working on our MINDS! I have noticed in my study of success over the years that LEADERS HAVE OPTIMISM. Many of you will define optimism as a “glass half full” mindset. May I encourage you to look at it a little differently? What would it look like if you had a mindset of a glass overflowing? No matter what you encounter today, you will be able to face it with lots of solutions to solve the challenge because you have a glass that is overflowing. I have found that when we always seek opportunities to learn and discover the things around us, more solutions show up to solve our problems. I like to say that optimism is simply the ability to solve the problems of tomorrow. If you approach life with a mindset that things will go wrong, challenges happen, and that there will be stuff I can’t control YET you know that you can always find your way out of it, you will be more successful. Here are 10 practical things you can do to work on your mindset:
- Read a book that supports a growth mindset.
- Have coffee with someone in the business that you have never talked to before to mastermind the market. Pick their brain on HOW they are navigating this market.
- Revisit your vision board and goals. It’s time to check in and make sure you are on target. Do your mid-year review.
- Attend a seminar/workshop/class on a skill set that you think you know really well to see how you can 10X it.
- Set a business consultation meeting with your Team Leader or OP. Get their opinion of your business and some coaching to enter into the 2nd half of the year.
- Hire a COACH! Seriously, you need a business coach. Today. Give up something so you can afford it. Today.
- Take 30 days off of watching TV and only listen to podcasts about your brain. I highly recommend anything from Andrew Huberman the Huberman Lab Podcast. Start learning how your brain works.
- Get a GRATITUDE journal! I have used The 5 Minute Journal by Intelligent Change for 10 years. Tell them I sent you……I am hoping one day they will send me a free journal for all the recommendations I have sent their way! LOL https://www.intelligentchange.com/collections/journals/products/the-five-minute-journal
- Meet with your mortgage vendor, Insurance vendor, and preferred title attorney and ask them what their companies are doing to educate them on the market and find out how they intend to navigate the 2nd half of the year.
- BREATHE. Just BREATHE. Without oxygen, we won’t get through this.
As I close out my time with you and finish this last bite of ice cream, I want to extend a word of encouragement to you. The Southeast Region is as strong as ever! I couldn’t be more proud of all the hard work that all of you are doing. The leaders of this region have your back and are fighting every day to stay on top of our growth. I am confident that we will survive this! Now, what I really want to know from each of you is: What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? And for those who live in the Atlanta area…..Jeni’s. Enough said. OMG!! IYKYK!
Onward and UPWARD!

PATRICK’S TECH TALK
Have you upgraded your KW Agent Website yet? If not, now might be the time.
KW is always looking for ways to offer you the best technology at the lowest cost, and our new agent websites fit nicely into that space. Not only are they far more customizable than our previous websites available through Command (with the ability to edit menus and use HTML/iFrame code as well as out-of-the-box pages, easy to customize) some new features have recently dropped that I know you’ll love.
1) Updated Property Landing Pages with VIDEO covers! This new feature inside the website editor allows you to choose a listing from MLS and create a single landing page for the listing. These are great as redirects to offer your sellers on property websites. These new landing pages are easy to make and allow video as well. Go check them out.
2) Ability to set your personal listings to pull DIRECT from MLS into featured: Not only can you set the featured listings to pull listings from around your area, or display specific listings, you can now pull from your personal listings, that of your team, or from your market center (brokerage).
3) Lead Triggers for Open Houses, Home Evaluation Pages, Sign-Ups, and contact forms: While this isn’t really “new” per se, I find it one of the most valuable features on the new sites. Lead Management rules can be set to trigger Smart Plans based on certain pre-set “lead sources” on your website such as “OPEN HOUSES (SITE)”, “KW APP/SITE”, “HOME EVALUATION (SITE)”, and “CONTACT FORM (SITE)”. Choosing the appropriate lead source in the management rules ensures that when certain actions are taken, clients or prospects can receive communication specific to that source.
Don’t miss out! And if you need help walking through any of this, see you at my next “Close More Sales with Consumer” class with the region. Find those dates at www.r19zoom.com.
