Can you feel it? There is a current in the air right now — and in this business — that is impossible to ignore. Spring has fully arrived, the market is moving, and the question is simple: are you moving with it?

I’ve been thinking about rivers lately. When a river is flowing strong, the water doesn’t fight itself — it finds its path, picks up speed, and carries everything with it. That’s exactly where we are in Q2. The current is here. Buyers are out. Sellers are motivated. The season has shifted. The only question left is whether you’re in the water… or still standing on the bank.

Getting into the current means going back to your people. Your database is your river. Every contact in there is a drop of water — and according to the math in MREA, agents with at least 201 well-nurtured contacts average $120,000 in income per year. That’s not a motivational poster — that’s data. So the real work of April is getting in the water: picking up the phone, dropping a handwritten note, hosting a coffee, showing up in someone’s life just to say “I’m thinking of you.”

We also know — because we’ve talked about it together — that leaders have growth plans. A river without a direction is just a flood. What is your plan for this quarter? What does your daily routine look like? What is the one thing you will do consistently, even on the hard days, that will carry you forward? Write it down. Put it somewhere you’ll see it. Commit to it.

Open Command. Click on your contacts. Add some value — a quick check-in, a local market update, a birthday message you’ve been meaning to send. Those small drops of intention are what fill the river. Your people already trust you. They already want to do business with you. You just have to stay in front of them.

And when you’ve done the work — when you’ve made the calls and sent the notes and shown up — let the river carry you a little. Take a walk along the Chattahoochee. Sit on your porch and listen to the birds that have finally come back. Take a deep breath of that warm April air. God built rest into creation for a reason, and a rested agent is a sharp agent.
